All Things Made New

All Things Made New
Today is a Brand New Day

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)

This is one of my "go-to" Bible verses. It is helpful in times of trouble, doubt, and low self-esteem. But as we start a new year, it is also invaluable because it contains so much truth and brings such a sense of reassurance. Every morning and every year, we wake up with fresh mercies from God. We are given another chance to turn to Him and ask for forgiveness.

Once, a friend who was in need rang me every day to confess his sins. "Why?" I asked. They replied, "Because I keep sinning every day."

It can be easy to become discouraged when we continually mess up and fall short of God's perfection. But just as the sun rises each morning, so does God's mercy. We shouldn't dwell on our past mistakes but look towards new opportunities for grace each day.

Of course, this doesn't mean we should take sin lightly. We should strive to live a life that is pleasing to God. But when we do slip up, we can ask God to renew our hearts and minds each morning and trust in His promise of never-ending love and mercy.

So, no matter what challenges you face today or what mistakes you make, be encouraged and know that God's mercies are new. Take hold of this brand-new day, ask for His guidance, and trust His unfailing love.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30 am. We serve tea, coffee and biscuits from 10 am, before the service begins. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access through the main (side) door, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. Note we regret our toilets are not wheelchair friendly, however, we can assist to ensure safe access and use.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10:30 am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship; typically have three or four songs lasting approximately 25 minutes. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We may finish with a final worship song. Sometimes there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.
